Not only are there blogs themselves, but the affiliated websites that add character to your blog and make using a blog exciting are out there in the blogsphere also.

Most websites that accept "add-on" features (extra features) will generally have 'starters', meaning samples of what you can do on the website so you can see the end result. For instance, if a blog site like Myspace.com which has video capabilities, wants you to use a second service, they will offer you some video output to test on their site. Then, they will generally recommend an outside source for obtaining other videos, or uploading/linking your own videos. An external video website or "vlog" that is a good example is www.youtube.com (now owned by the same people that own www.google.com which offers blogs now too!).
